Is coconut flour healthy?

Everyone’s nutritional needs and definitions of “healthy” are different, but there are many health benefits to cooking and baking with coconut flour, especially when it’s organic. I have the MOST delicious organic coconut flour in right now, and I’m baking all sorts of things with it!

On the back of my flour you’ll find a delicious bread recipe too.

Benefits of this flour include:

  1. It is naturally grain and gluten free. This makes it a great flour to use in baking. It is also greta for people with celiac disease or who are sensitive to wheat and other grains.
  2. It’s much lower in carbs. If you live low carb like I do, recipes using coconut flour are a great alternative to ones using flour.
  3. It’s packed with nutrients. One of the best parts about it is that it naturally contains healthy fibre, protein and some healthy fat all while being gluten and grain free. The extra nutrients will make your recipes deliciously filling, and you’ll find that you won’t have to use as much sweetener because of the natural sweetness in the coconut.
