Sulpher is the third most abundant mineral in the human body and is a major component in maintaining and strengthening joint tissue, notably cartilage. MSM is a natural sulfur-containing compound found in green plants, animals and the human body. It is not sulfur in itself, but rather an organic compound that contains sulfur. MSM provides the body with essential sulphur and methyl groups that are used by the body during its healing and repair processes.  This multi-functional mineral has also been shown to assist in reducing inflammation and pain, preserve normal joint health and functionality, reduce oxidative damage and may improve recovery time post exercise. Additionally, it may help to strengthen hair and nail growth and reduce inflammatory skin conditions such as rosacea.

When the body has an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in its system, oxidative stress occurs. An excess of free radicals leads to damage of fatty tissue (lipids), DNA and proteins in the body, and these three components make up a large part of the body. This damage can lead to a number of health concerns, most notably inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, rosacea and lowered immunity.

In a 2015 study on 100, over 50 years olds suffering from arthritic symptoms (joint pain, stiffness, swelling, difficulty walking, difficulty getting up from bed and difficulty going down stairs), participants were required to either supplement with an MSM supplement or a placebo, for a 12 week period. The study concluded that supplementing with MSM resulted in improved joint pain, stiffness, and swelling compared with those taking placebo medication.

Further to all these wonderful benefits, MSM has been shown to assist with symptoms of seasonal allergies, particularly allergic rhinitis. By its ability to greatly reduce inflammation, MSM is able to reduce allergic responses and their associated  symptoms, such as nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea, watery or itchy eyes and nose, sneezing or coughing.

Each 1tsp serving (5g) contains:
Methylsulphonylmethane (MSM) 5000mg

Dosage and directions for use:
Take 1/2 tsp daily in water, increasing to 1 tsp per daily
Best taken on an empty stomach
Do not exceed the recommended dosage
