These exclusive products are made using our famous Sally-Ann Creed® Pure Hydrolysed Collagen, and locally sourced organic rooibos or honeybush tea leaves. Rooibos is a local tea cupboard staple, but has quickly become a global favourite too. This dark red tea is packed with nutrients, and is a great option for those looking for a naturally caffeine-free alternative to coffee, green tea or ceylon tea. Honeybush tea is also a herbal tea known and loved in South Africa. It is often compared to Rooibos tea, with Honeybush having a deliciously floral, lightly roasted flavour – very similar to honey – and is slightly sweeter tasting than Rooibos. Enjoy these delicious, naturally sweet, caffeine-free herbal teas as an Espresso or in a homemade cappuccino or flatwhite style – compatible with most original Nespresso capsule style machines. Honeybush is high in antioxidants, particularly flavones, isoflavones, coumestans, luteolin, 4-hydroxycinnamic acid, polyphenols and xanthones. These antioxidants possess natural anti-inflammatory properties and have been shown to assist in lowering blood lipid levels and regulating blood sugar levels, which is great for diabetics. The presence of mangiferin and hesperidin make honeybush tea a great bone support – mangiferin has been shown to inhibit the formation of osteoclasts, which break down bone tissue, while hesperidin promotes the formation and maintenance of osteoblasts, which are new bone cells. Further to this, honeybush tea comprises of isoflavones and coumestans, both of which are classified as phytoestrogens which are widely used to naturally treat menopausal symptoms.

Rooibos has been shown to have naturally high levels of antioxidants, particularly polyphenols, which assist in fighting internal inflammation and many inflammatory conditions such as heart disease and the development of certain cancers. It has also been shown to assist with hayfever, due to the natural presence of quercetin. Aspalathin, another antioxidant found in rooibos, helps to regulate blood sugar levels, making rooibos a wonderful choice for those suffering from insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes.
