Berberine has an ancient history for its use in traditional Chinese, Indian and Middle Eastern medicine. On its own, it is effective in lowering blood glucose levels and improving cholesterol levels but is poorly absorbed by the body. Our Sally-Ann Creed® Berberine Complex has been developed with this in mind, and contains:
Milk Thistle that assists with the bioavailability of Berberine by acting as an inhibitor of the transporter that limits its absorption, while promoting liver health;
A powerful, 4-strain probiotic blend built into the recipe, that supports the gut microbiome, and may assist in lowering cholesterol;
Chromium, which may assist with blood glucose levels; and
Several B Vitamins – notably B1, B6 and B12. These vitamins may help to control homocysteine levels and prevent anaemia.

Dosage and directions for use:
Adults: Take 4 capsules per day (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening) after a meal or as prescribed by a healthcare provider

If Milk Thistle is taken in combination with this medication it has the potential to raise the level of the drug, causing unpleasant or even dangerous side effects. Milk Thistle may mimic the effects of estrogen and should not be used in combination.
Chromium should be used with caution with anti-diabetes medication, as it could increase the risk for hypoglycemia. Chromium can decrease the absorption of levothyroxine (used to treat hypothyroidism).
Do not use if diagnosed with kidney, liver or gallstone complaints.
