Better than metformin/Glucophage

The Canadian Medical Association’s (CMA) guide to prescription drugs lists special precautions for Metformin. 1 in 4 people can expect radical side effects including loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and a metallic taste in the mouth.

But even more sinister is the way it is taken by so many and the CMA says it is not recommended if you:

  • Have impaired liver or kidney function
  • Have heart failure
  • Drink heavily
  • Are pregnant
  • currently breast feed
  • Are over 60

Often these are the very people taking it….

There is something much safer you can take. New studies show how effective Berberine Complex is in lowering blood glucose as effectively and even better in some studies, than metformin, and without the side effects. By taking 3 x 500mg a day Berberine can lower glucose as effectively as a dangerous drug.

And have a look at some of the other impressive things it can do according to studies and research:

  • Lowers blood sugar
  • Excellent for polycystic ovarian syndrome
  • Cardio-protective
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Antimicrobial (especially for diarrhoea, parasites, fungus)
  • Lowers HbA1c by 21%
  • Lowers triglycerides
  • Superior to metformin
  • Fasting insulin shown to drop by 28.1% in poorly controlled diabetics
  • Insulin resistance dropped by nearly 45%
  • Total cholesterol and LDL drops significantly
  • Helps significantly with treatment of obesity and diabetes
  • Enhances memory function
  • Decreases the number and size of fat cells
  • Improves insulin secretion
  • Activates AMPK – the enzyme that stimulates hepatic fatty acid oxidation
  • Controls non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) – helps to decrease the fat build up in liver and regulate hepatic lipid metabolism
  • Anti-obesity – promotes weight loss

Dr Mercola says Berberine’s health benefits make it one of the most powerful supplements he knows of. I can’t think of a better supplement if you find yourself needing to address these areas. As always the QUALITY is all-important. The one I highly recommend is the Berberine Complex – apart from all the benefits listed above, this one has proved enormously helpful in:

  • Chronic system inflammation
  • PCOS
  • SIBO
  • Resistant candida
  • Helps repair mucosal lining in colitis
  • Chemo-enhancing
  • Anti-metastatic
  • Pro-apoptotic
  • Anti-oxidative

It’s really impressive 🙂.
