Better than botox

Collagen declines with age, and for this reason research into collagen has exploded in the past few years.  I decided a some years ago to womble around and look at what’s available in the collagen line, and sadly I was flabbergasted at the additives and all I saw in the products on the shelves.  I wanted to use it but was simply not willing to use anything that was not pure – I am a fanatic when it comes to what goes into my body.

This led me ultimately to producing my own imported Sally-Ann Creed Pure Hydrolysed Collagen, with absolutely nothing added (find it at https://sallyanncreed.co.za/shop).  Having fillers and preservatives, artificial sweeteners and other unnecessary additives will interfere greatly with the process of rebuilding the body, which really is what you are taking it for in the first place. Collagen is the most abundant source of protein in the human body – but declines quite radically with age.

Collagen is excellent for the following:

  • Stronger, thicker hair and nails
  • Healthy joints – also rebuilds cartilage
  • Clear skin
  • Prevents wrinkles and smooths out some
  • May rebuild entire organs
  • Improves arthritis (rather dramatically!)
  • Strengthens arteries
  • Increases muscle mass
  • Promotes weight loss through fat-burning
  • Helps the body form new collagen of its own
  • Amazing for gut health – restores digestive balance
  • Wonderful for a good sleep if taken before bed
  • Helps prevent and treat osteoporosis
  • Some people claim it resolves hypertension
  • Improves bladder weakness
  • Improves chronic fatigue (definitely improves energy)
  • Helps with autoimmune diseases

My collagen is pure, 100% protein, grass-fed and non-GMO but does not have the dairy component that many powders have – if you are lactose or casein intolerant like I am, dairy isn’t an option.  I am also opposed to legume powders (like pea protein for example) as there are too many problems here, and it’s not complete protein anyway, high in phytates and all the rest.  I needed something I would not react to, something pure, and when I found THIS collagen overseas and brought it in, it became my personal go-to product.  It’s tasteless and has no carb content.  Fabulous in coffee!  Get it from https://sallyanncreed.co.za/shop
