Did you know that there is more to this morning cuppa than just a good dose of caffeine? There is a growing body of research linking the consumption of coffee to drastically improved overall health – as if we needed more motivation to drink it!

Many of us are aware of the presence of caffeine in coffee and its ability to boost energy levels. It does this by blocking the neurotransmitter receptors of adenosine, which allows for other neurotransmitters to be activated, such as dopamine, which then regulates energy levels. Further to this, it has been shown that caffeine is able to preserve beta cells in the pancreas. This is highly beneficial for those suffering from type 2 diabetes or insulin resistance, as the pancreas is responsible for insulin production. This in turn regulates blood sugar levels, helping to lower the risk of diabetes developing. Caffeine has also been shown to stimulate the metabolism, promote heart health and lower the risk of neurological conditions, such as Alzheimers, Parkinson’s and dementia.

Serving suggestion:
Best made as a 40ml Espresso, add 1 – 2 sachets then add warm or frothed milk as desired

Disposal instructions:
Capsules, including the lid are 100% recyclable (Aluminum #41). Empty out capsule contents, rinse and throw in your designated recycling bin
