Vitamin C:
We all know how important Vitamin C is for our overall health, but how does it help when it comes to your skincare regime and premature aging? Our bodies cannot produce this vital vitamin, and we therefore need to obtain it through our diet. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that consumed Vitamin C goes directly to the skin. Rather, consistently using a topical Vitamin C is the most direct and effective way to reap the phenomenal skin benefits.
So, what are these phenomenal benefits? Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that is essential for the production of collagen. Our skin requires collagen for its structural framework, meaning the more collagen the firmer and more wrinkle-free the skin. As we age our collagen production decreases which leads to increased signs of ageing – wrinkles, fine lines and skin sagging. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent this from happening entirely, but we can assist the skin by providing an optimal environment for it to function at its best. Further to this, Vitamin C neutralises free radicals, which cause oxidative stress to the skin cells that then accelerate the signs of ageing even more. Vitamin C also assists with UV protection, what this means is that it is able to defend against UV light damage to skin cells. Important to note: Vitamin C does not absorb UVA and UVB rays meaning you cannot use Vitamin C in place or your sunscreen – ALWAYS use your sunscreen! 
Last but not least, Vitamin C assists with hyperpigmentation and fading brown spots. Vitamin C is able to suppress the transfer of little sphere like molecules that carry skin pigment (melanosomes) from the skin cells that produce the skin pigment (melanocytes) to the keratinocytes (the skin cells in the top layer of the skin) where brown spots and acne scars form.

Vitamin E:
As a primary fat-soluble vitamin in our skin, Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and helps to protect the skin cells from premature ageing caused by oxidative stress from free radicals. It is able to scavenge for these free radicals and prevent them from causing cell damage, and from disrupting collagen production – which is responsible for our nice, firm complexion. It is a highly stable molecule that also has photoprotective properties and is able to stabilise and enhance the properties of other vitamins, particularly Vitamin C which is known to be very unstable and to oxidise quickly. Together they provide amplified photoprotective properties meaning they prevent both UVA and UVB damage to cells, which can further drive signs of premature ageing. Being a fat-soluble vitamin, as opposed to a water-soluble vitamin, Vitamin E is highly absorbable by our skin and its emollient properties help to soften and soothe the skin.

Comprised of ergothioneine and mannitol, IntenCfy is designed to enhance and stabalise the amazing properties of Vitamin C while delivering further antioxidant, humectant and moisturising benefits.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that when applied to the skin assists with collagen production, photoprotective properties against UVA & UVB rays and stimulates cell turnover, allowing for new healthy skin cells to come through. Unfortunately, Vitamin C is a very unstable molecule meaning it oxidises quickly, losing its active properties. IntenCfy is specially formulated to assist with stability and is made up of ergothioneine and mannitol. Ergothioneine is a natural antioxidant found in plants and known to protect cell membranes from oxidation stress and damage. When applied topically it has been shown to prevent wrinkles, reduce the signs of premature ageing, as well as signs of photodamage. Mannitol is a natural sugar alcohol found in both plants and animals that is able to bind to moisture and assists the skin with hydration as well as smoothing roughness in skin texture.

The active ingredient found in turmeric is curcumin, and this wonderful compound harbours natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties known to soothe and calm the skin. When applied topically, turmeric enhances the skin’s natural glow and luster – don’t worry it won’t turn your skin yellow – while reducing inflammation, soothing skin irritation and delivering antioxidant properties preventing oxidative cell damage i.e. the key driver to premature ageing.
