Health Benefits of Dates

Our CHEWY DATES are legendary, and there’s nothing more delicious for snacking on at Christmas time than cold dates taken out of the fridge – yum.

These are the MOST delicious ‘nature’s toffees’ you will ever taste. It seems you can’t find dates like these anywhere anymore, and we know you love our chewy dates.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF DATES

1. Reduce BLOOD PRESSURE – we’ve spoken about the value of magnesium in hypertension, well just 5-6 dates provide about 80 milligrams of magnesium, an essential mineral that helps dilate blood vessels.

2. Dates contain a BRAIN BOOSTER – each date contains over 2mg of fabulous choline, a B vitamin that’s a component in acetylcholine, the memory neurotransmitter. Choline is a key nutrient for children’s brains, as well as for older adults at risk for Alzheimer’s.

3. Help maintain BONE MASS – research shows bone loss in post-menopausal women with osteopenia can be reduced by increasing intake of potassium as well as magnesium. Just one of our delicious dates provide nearly 140mg of potassium, which protects bone mass by reducing the amount of calcium excreted through the kidneys. Who knew?

Enjoy!
