Thyme Tea – an Easy Remedy

Or should that be tea time? Ha ha.  Have you got thyme growing in your garden (if not, why on earth not?) This beneficial herb can do so much for you – grow some on your windowsill and add it to all sorts of dishes.  Here are a few things thyme can do:fat

  • regulates blood pressure
  • treats a cough and bronchitis, sore throat and laryngitis
  • helps the formation of red blood cells
  • treats chronic fatigue
  • helps asthma
  • fights dizziness
  • might help lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (there is evidence to suggest it is valuable)

Here’s a lovely thyme tea for tea time which will do wonders for you:

Ingredients:

  • a handful of organic thyme (fresh or dried)
  • 1 cup of water
  • honey (optional)

Instructions:

Wash the thyme and place it in a bowl

Boil water, and pour it over the thyme, leaving it for a few minutes to draw

Strain it to eliminate the solid parts

Add honey or xylitol to taste to sweeten the drink – optional

Regular use boosts overall health and provides positive effects within a few days. Drink this daily for great results.
