Derived from elephant foot yam, also known as glucomannan, our No Carb Thickener is a no calorie, no carb thickening agent, ideal for those following a low carb lifestyle. Due to its ability to absorb up to 50 times its weight in water, glucomannan has innate bulking properties, along with a low energy density. Beyond its low carb thickening properties, it can also be used as a stabiliser or gelling agent, making it a great alternative to cornstarch when making sauces or stews.
Ingredients: Glucomannan (Elephant foot yam extract)
Allergens: Packed in a factory that handles nuts and oats (gluten)
Instructions for use:
1/2 – 1 tsp thickens 1 cup liquid. Sprinkle the required amount of powder over cooking sauce or stew, stir until thickens to your desired consistency
